‘Amazing Me’ is coming to our school for parent and child evening programs!

Amazing Me specialises in providing primary aged children, parents, and educators with positive and empowering information. Amazing Me presents programs to thousands of children and adults every year and has done so for over 25 years.

Amazing Me reinforces the important message of respecting others and appreciating that we are all incredibly unique, diverse and AMAZING! The presenter, Rowena Thomas, is a primary school teacher and her strengths lie in facilitating an inspiring and informative program that aims to strengthen family relationships.

‘Bodies and Babies’ (aimed at Year 4 students)

Topics for this program include:

The correct names of our genitals, child protection with a brief focus on safe and unsafe touch, ‘no, go, tell’ and having a safety network, reproduction, pregnancy and birth.

‘Bodies and Puberty’ (aimed at Year 5 students, and Year 6 students who missed it last year)

Topics for this program include:

The correct names of our genitals, child protection with a brief focus on consent and having a safety network. What is puberty? Why do we need to go through puberty?, When does it start?, How long does it take?, The physical, social and emotional changes that can be expected.

Year: Year 4 and Year 5 (Year 6 if they missed out previously)

Location: via zoom at home

Year 4 (Bodies and Babies): 6pm – 7 pm
Year 5 (Bodies and Puberty): 7:10pm-8:10pm
Who: Children must be accompanied by a parent(s)/carer(s)
