Anniversary of the National Apology

Stanmore Public School National Sorry Day

Next week is National Apology Day. This is the anniversary of then Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, delivering the National Apology to Australia’s Indigenous Peoples, especially the Stolen Generations, on the 13th of February 2008. The Apology is now considered a defining moment in Australian history.

We will be commemorating it at our whole school assembly this Monday. Parents and friends are welcome to join us.

  1. Stanmore School… The very best school any child could attend.. I was a student back in 1947 until 1954.I enjoyed every minute there and learning was made easy by the very best teachers. The Primary School Principal, Miss Campbell and the Head Master Mr. DAVIS. Attending this school made my life very successful and was the basis for doing well in high school and life in general.
