Book Drive 2021

stanmore public school book drive 2021

POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The theme this year is “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds”.

Families are invited to donate books to help keep the bookshelves well stocked.

During this week our library will have a huge selection of new books on display that families can purchase and donate. Prices range from $15 to $30.

Families can visit the library during the week, before and after school, to select books to donate*. Families will also be able to purchase books online via our website in Term 3 and then the students will be invited to the library at lunchtime to select the books they would like to donate.

The student’s name will go in the front of the books they donate to acknowledge their contribution and they’ll get to borrow the books first!

*Subject to local health restrictions at the time.

As part of the Book Drive the school will be hosting our annual Grandparents’ Morning Tea on Friday, July 30.

Grandparents and families can visit the library, enjoy some cake and a cuppa whilst choosing books to donate.*

Our library is a place for learning, laughing and literacy. We love our library and the joy that reading brings our students and we hope you do too. All donations help the school to provide quality reading material for our kids to enjoy throughout the year.

*Subject to local health restrictions at the time.

Once again, this year our Book Drive is sponsored by Jonathan Hammond of Cobden & Hayson who has generously offered to donate $2,500 towards library resources for Stanmore Public School students.

This is the fourth year Jonathan has volunteered to sponsor this event bringing his total contribution towards our library and the school’s reading program to an amazing $13,000.
