Stanmore Public School Message from the Principal

Dear parents and carers,

As Term 1 draws to a close, I would like to congratulate all of our students and teachers on a fantastic first term of 2021. Our students have worked hard to make progress towards their learning goals, and almost all of them, almost all the time, are engaged and focused on their tasks in the classrooms, and respectful, responsible and resilient in all settings around the school.

Our teachers have put in mountains of work, as always, to create engaging, differentiated programs that enable our students to achieve to their potential. They are working collaboratively with each other and with our parent community to ensure the learning and wellbeing needs of every student are met, every day. To our teachers and support staff – thank you for your amazing work this term.

Thank you also to all our parents and carers who have supported your children’s learning at home, and championed our school in so many ways. We are grateful to have such an engaged and passionate school community.

Parent Survey – Term 1 2021

To help us better understand the opinions and priorities of our school community, and reflect on our strengths and areas for future development, please complete our Parent Survey if you haven’t already. Your responses are highly valued, and will be included in the school’s Annual Report and shared with the school community next term. I know that everyone is juggling very busy schedules, but please try and find the time to add your voice to the data. The more responses we receive, the more we can incorporate our community’s voice into our actions and plans.

The survey will be open until 3:00pm on Tuesday 20th April. It will take you between 3-5 minutes, depending on how many open ended responses you choose to write. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.

Sporting success

Congratulations to Daniel Cassidy (3/4G) who was awarded the bronze medal in his age group in the NSW Primary School Sports Association Diving Championships at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre this week. Well done on your brilliant achievements at State on the 3m board Daniel!
