Stanmore Public School Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a successful and settled start to the 2020 school year for our students in Years 1-6. We are all excited to meet the newest members of our school community, our Kindergarten students, who will commence on Monday.

Thank you to all of our teachers and support staff for their hard work getting everything organised behind the scenes: teaching programs, enrolments, Best Start assessments, timetables and rosters, setting up classrooms, and of course ensuring that all of our students are known, valued and cared for in their classrooms and in the playground. It is an enormous task, and our team is going about it positively and professionally.

This week, I have greatly enjoyed visiting classrooms and the playground, meeting students, staff and parents, and building my understanding of the programs, systems and routines across the school. It is already clear to me why Stanmore PS has such a great reputation in the local and wider community – all parts of the school community are very friendly and welcoming, and there is a strong sense of positive engagement and enthusiasm displayed students, staff and community members alike.
